Task
Airtec Services (Yorkshire) Limited was commissioned by Logic Office Group PLC to design, cost, install and commission a facility wide system to include heat pumps, heat recovery and fresh air ventilation..
Solution
The type of equipment to be installed was restricted by the office design and layout which incorporated a north-facing skylight the full length of the building in the centre bay. In response, iIt was decided to use the void mounted ducted VRV system in order to obtain a good air throw across the north facing roof area.
The outdoor condensing units were sited in the cellar at the wish of the tenants, Pace Micro Technology PLC. All interconnecting services were run within the ceiling void to a suitable point then taken down the wall, into the cellar and onto the outdoor condensing units.
The heat generated within the cellar was removed by an existing extract fan controlled by a temperature thermostat.
